West Brom v Chelsea-After the midweek upset in the Carling Cup, Chelsea will be hoping to get back to winning ways in the Premiership.  Chelsea have never lost to West Brom in the Premiership, winning all six games they have played and in my opinion I don’t thing they will lose this game….but of course football is never easy!!

Betting tip:  Betfair have Chelsea priced at 1.33 to win this match, the odds are a little skinny for me.  So I’ll be backing John Terry to score at anytime, at odds of 9.4 on Betfair.

Arsenal v Aston Villa
Blackburn v Sunderland
Bolton v Liverpool
Fulham v Tottenham
Man Utd v Stoke
Newcastle v Wigan
West Brom v Chelsea
West Ham v Portsmouth
Everton v Middlesbrough
Hull v Man City

Arsenal v Man Utd- This game has to be the one that most Premiership football fans will be watching this weekend, Arsenal entertain rivals United at the Emirates.  The Gunners go into this game in the midst of their ‘mini crisis’ (losing one game) whereas United have an unbeaten run of 12 games in all competitions.  It would be wrong to rule out Arsenal due to their patched up team(due to suspensions and injuries), they have in the past managed to win when the odds were against them.  After completing this game United would have played all their title rivals away from home, at the moment they only have 1 point to show from these games.  United will be a threat with players like Berbatov, Rooney and Ronaldo, they certainly are a joy to watch when they all click.

Surely this game we will show us how the Arsenal players react when the pressure is on them, will they prosper or will they wilt?

Betting tips- United away from home are favourite to win this match at odds of 2.34 on Betfair.  But Manchester United haven’t won at the Emirates yet and have only have 1 win in 8 games away to Arsenal.  So the best bet would be to back the draw at odds of 3.3 currently on Betfair.  Also go for a small bet on Berbatov to score at anytime at odds of 3.35.

UPDATE- What a great match to watch, chances at both ends and some great football played by both of these title challengers.  I’m sure that if United had scored then they wouldn’t have ended up on the losing team.  The bet to go for the draw wasn’t successful this time, looking back at it, no matter how bad the Gunners’ last results have been, it was a little crazy for them not to be favourites when playing at home.

Arsenal v Man Utd
Hull v Bolton
Liverpool v West Brom
Sunderland v Portsmouth
West Ham United v Everton
Wigan v Stoke
Aston Villa v Middlesbrough
Blackburn v Chelsea
Fulham v Newcastle
Man City v Tottenham

Comedy Fawlty Towers was in the news this week, but it had nothing to do with Basil Fawlty impersonator Arsene Wenger and that amazing match at the Emirates Stadium, but more to do with that ‘answerphone’ message scandal involving the actor who played Manuel. Que??

The weekend brings us a much better Premiership football schedule for Saturday 3pm kick offs, compared to only one from last week.

Everton v Fulham-Both of these teams will be buoyed by their mid week victories and both managers will be looking for another 3 points to take the pressure off them.  Everton have history on their side, winning all 14 previous encounters at home against Fulham.

Betting tips (losing)-Everton conceded 11 goals in their opening 5 games of the season.  They are without a clean sheet since April.  In the ‘Everton Clean Sheet’ market, bet on no clean sheet at odds of 1.68 on Betfair.

Also Andy Johnson will be looking to come back to Goodison and haunt his old team with a goal.  Lets back him in the  ‘To score’ market at nice odds of 4.3 on Betfair.

Update- No luck with the bets, Everton finally kept a clean sheet which meant our no clean sheet bet was lost.  Andy Johnson couldn’t score aginst his old team either.  Knowing that past results were on Everton’s side, we should of gone with the bet to back Everton to win.

Chelsea v Sunderland
Everton v Fulham
Man Utd v Hull
Middlesbrough v West Ham
Portsmouth v Wigan
Stoke v Arsenal
Tottenham v Liverpool
West Brom v Blackburn
Bolton v Man City
Newcastle v Aston Villa

Tuesday and Wednesday bring a full list of Premiership mid week fixtures, which of course means more matches to choose to bet on!!

Aston Villa v Blackburn- Villa are unbeaten at home so far this season and Blackburn have drawn their last two Premiership games.  Blackburn last won at Villa Park in 2004, this is their only win in 7 games away to Villa.

Betting tip (Winner)- It’s tempting to go for the draw here just like last year, but I do believe that Aston Villa can take all three points, they are priced at 1.69 currently on Betfair.  I’m tipping ’Over 2.5 goals’ in this match, you can currently get a price of 1.97 on Betfair.

UPDATE- Well we’ll start with the amazing match at the Emirates stadium, it’s fair to say that this match had 4-4 written all over it….even after 65 minutes!!!  On to the betting tip, the Villa v Blackburn produced 5 goals, which meant the over 2.5 goals tip was a winner, a great way to just abut double your money midweek!!

Newcastle 2-1 West Brom
Arsenal 4-4 Tottenham
Aston Villa 3-2 Blackburn
Bolton 0-1Everton
Fulham 2-0 Wigan
Hull 0-3 Chelsea
Liverpool 1-0 Portsmouth
Man Utd 2-0 West Ham
Middlesbrough 2-0 Man City
Stoke 1-0 Sunderland
