Aston Villa v Fulham-Out of 8 Premiership games, Fulham have never beaten Aston Villa at Villa Park.  Villa have won 5 and the rest have been draws.  The Cottagers will have to look back to 1973 to the last time they beat Villa in the league.

Premiership Betting tip- Aston Villa will be dissapointed about Thursday night’s exit from Europe, but they will have confidence in the league after beating Liverpool at Anfield. on Monday night  They also have the advantage over Fulham of playing their European tie at home, whereas Fulham had to take trip to Russia.  Back VIlla to win on Betfair, you can get odds of 1.81 (4/5).

Sunderland v Chelsea- both teams enjoyed a good start to the season with opening day wins.  Chelsea were hammering on the door of Hull throughout the second half and Sunderland scored courtesy of a new boy Darren Bent, just as we tipped.

Premiership Betting tip-Drogba is looking sharp and most of all interested, so we’ll be tipping him to score in a second game running, Betfair have him at odds of 2.64 to score at anytime, take it!!

Bolton v Sunderland- Sunderland have strengthened their squad and with the arrival of new manager Steve Bruce, the will be hoping to look up the table rather than below them.   Out of the 140 games between the two teams, Sunderland have won 58 and Bolton 49.

Premiership Betting tip-We won’t be betting on who will win this encounter, although if we had to, Sunderland to win at odds of 12/5 seem to be tempting.  Instead back new boy Darren Bent to score at anytime, you can get odds of 2/1 on Betfair.  He’ll be looking to impress and get off to a flying start after his time at Spurs.

PremiershipBettingBanter.com is back and raring to go for the new season!!! We hope you’ve not done a Manchester City (letting the Welsh FA know that Craig Bellamy had withdrawn from the squad seemed to have slipped their mind) on us and forgotten all about this betting blog!!!

So who is going to win the Premiership then?  United for the fourth time? Liverpool finally? Ancelotti’s Chelsea? Arsenal back to winning ways?  Or will an outsider like Manchester City shake things up?

Well as usual it’s a tough call, but Premiership betting Banter are going to back Chelsea.  Looking on Betfair they are favourites at odds of 2/1 with second favourites Manchester United 12/5.  We’re backing the Blues as they’ve have had the minimum impact to their squad out of all the possible championship contender, vital members like Terry have stuck around (was never in doubt).  Whereas their rivals have become weakened, Ronaldo, Tevez, Alonso, Toure, Adebayor all making their way out of their respective teams.

Of course everything will be dependent on how quick Chelsea can adapt to Ancelotti’s formations (diamonds anyone?) and whether he can kep the respect of players like Drogba.  Blues fans will be hoping that he doesn’t go the way of Big Phil, but we expect them to put up a serious challenge this year, back them on Betfair now!

No matter who wins, we know this season will have thrills, major talking points and great entertainment, it is the Premiership of course!!
